Katy & Mike

Katy & Mike tied the knot at the beautiful Barn in The Fells in the Lake District. They chose to have a first look with each other and have private vows, just the two of them, with the spectacular fells in the background. It was so romantic and we felt honoured to be able to capture it for them. It felt even better that we got to film some of this with Super8 to add to the whole timeless feel of the day. After a small, intimate ceremony the newly weds chose to have ‘afternoon guests’ not evening evening guests, which is something we’d never seen before and we loved! After all of the mingling, glasses clinking and amazing food it was time for the wedding ‘cake’ which was actually a piñata. Once that was smashed the ceilidh got underway and what a party! The weather was doing it’s usual Lake District thing for most of the day and it made for the most atmospheric of portraits. Thank you, Katy & Mike, for letting us be a part of your special day!
