Story Telling Shoots
We love to get to know our couples; figure out your likes and dislikes. What do you appreciate in life? Where did you both meet? How did the proposal go down? Do you drink coffee or tea? How do you spend your free time? What made you choose your venue? Which part of your wedding are you most looking forward to?
As part of a collection of extras we offer Story Telling Shoots. This is where we sit you both down, give you prompts and capture you two telling us and each other stories, anecdotes and memories. We usually cover lots of different things, like how you met, who asked who out, what you're looking forward to most, who is most likely to cry on the big day; we just see where the conversation takes us, each story telling shoot is completely different!
We like to film our story telling shoots in the run up to your wedding. This could be a few weeks before, a few days before, or we’ve even had a couple booked in for the *day before* their wedding, so you can imagine the excitement literally hours before getting married!
From beginning to end the whole process should take no more than 2 hours, so we’re not taking up too much of your precious time in the busy preparations.
mini portrait session:
After you've finished chatting we'll take you somewhere for a quick walk, just the two of you, to capture some footage. Think of it as a mini portrait session to get you in the spirit for your big day.
Remember to wear something that you’re comfortable in and that you’re happy to be filmed in.
Once we’re finished you two will be absolute superstars in front of our cameras!
where shall we do it?:
From our initial chat with you, between us and the two of you we think of a meaningful backdrop for the shoot. This could be a place where you go for walks, a park that has been important to you both or a lot of our couple choose to do this at home. The main things are:
somewhere quiet
somewhere we're permitted to film
somewhere that you can both be comfortable and sit down
Weddings are super personal experiences. We believe a wedding film should be too. We start to tailor your wedding film from your very first contact, piecing together what's important to you two as a couple. With our story telling shoots you can add even more personalisation to your wedding film.
Another great benefit is that it gets you both used to being filmed! It's SO amazing getting married, but it's not something that happens every day, so this gives you a chance to see our cameras and help with any camera shyness!
