Black & White edits

One of our biggest aims is to make sure your wedding film doesn't date. We want it to be a timeless family heirloom for you to pass down through your generations. What better way to do that than with a black and white edit reminiscent of glorious old Hollywood films??

Black and white lends itself so well to wedding films, there's a magic to it. Without the 'distraction' of colour you concentrate more on what's going on in the frame. In the edit we can push the contrast more (promise we won't get too technical!) which adds to the drama and overall feel to your film.

Don't get us wrong, colour is super important for your wedding day, and decisions on colour during your planning are certainly important ones, which is why we offer black and white edits as one of our extras. You don't have to choose between black and white and colour, you can have both!

A quote we love:

“I think because it was an emotional story, and emotions come through much stronger in black and white. Colour is distracting in a way; it pleases the eye but it doesn’t necessarily reach the heart”

― Kim Hunter, American theatre, film, and television actress

A quote we love:

“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!”

― Ted Grant, Canadian photograhper
