Kate & Saul
Summer 2024 | The Secret Tower
↓
Kate & Saul tied the knot at The Secret Tower in Newcastle city centre. They loved the intimacy of the venue and we can 100% say that we love it too! Their plans for a colourful and relaxed wedding translated into the most beautiful day. Watch their full wedding film and read all about their day below.
We had a quick stroll along the quayside to capture the morning of their big day unfold. We obviously had to get some of the iconic bridges in! Soon it was time to visit these two childhood sweethearts to see them for their final preparations. Emotions were running high right from the very beginning, with Kate's bridesmaids being full of love and very excited for the day ahead.
They chose to write letters to each other on the morning of their wedding day which we had the privilege of getting on camera! It adds such a special, personalised feeling to any wedding film and we love that our couples trust us with amazing moments like these. Read more about why we love this here.
When it came to the ceremony the white walls of The Secret Tower were the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous brightly coloured bouquets that just screamed of summer! The bridesmaids were in different coloured dresses, matching the flowers, which all blended together in a beautiful riot of colour. There wasn't a dry eye left in the house from the emotional celebrant led ceremony. We love celebrant led ceremonies and Sarah Clark did an amazing job!
Guests took advantage of the glorious weather and used the outside space, with fantastic views of Newcastle, to it's fullest. The drinks reception got off to a great start with an Aperol spritz tower, the perfect summer drink for a gloriously sunny day with the Tyne Bridge looking splendid in the background. The elegant glasses, now filled, positively glowed in that summer sunshine.
Kate & Saul chose to have long tables for their guests to sit at for their wedding breakfast, which suits the shape of the room so well and is such a socialable set up! We loved the beautiful hand illustrated menus, keeping with the theme summer brights against a white background. The icing on the cake was literally the wedding cakes! Three retro beauties finished the room off perfectly.
After dinner when everyone was busy mingling and sipping on some more cocktails we took the newlyweds for a walk to the quayside to fully take advantage of the weather. We loved being able to capture these two childhood sweethearts all over the quayside. With its spectacular views and lively atmosphere it’s always a really fun place to go for a wander - especially on your wedding day! A lot of strangers congratulated them, which we're sure is good luck!
Kate & Saul's celebration was a perfect summer's day. The summer feeling was topped off with copious amounts of beautifully bright flowers - we couldn’t stop filming them! An incredibly fun day with two people who are completely and utterly in love with each other.

I loved the views all day and tried my hardest to get the Tyne Bridge in shot at all times! This particular moment also shows off the glorious flowers too.

The newly weds dancing on the millennium bridge, taking in the Baltic and the Tyne Bridge as people were walking past - that was rather special!
